The Aura App accompanies the Nanobebe Aura Parent Assistant. Sensor-free AI breathing motion detection, a WiFi controlled sound machine, 360° panning, and more. Aura grows with your child – from the newborn stage to toddlerhood & beyond.

Nanobebe Aura's smartphone app, enables parents to be more attentive to their little one’s needs while they multitask. Equipped with a built-in sound machine, Aura allows parents to choose from a variety of expertly-tuned sounds to create a calming sleep environment, an engaging playtime, or use 2-way talk to soothe them using their voice. Aura’s app also provides real-time waking & sleeping notifications, and a daily tracker to better log routines, coordinate with caregivers, & share insights with pediatricians.

Overview

Our team saw that high-end baby monitors had a lot to improve on - outdated IoT features and requiring wearables. Wearables add costs and inconvenience to the main users (parents) and many competitor's apps focus on deep sleep analysis, not essential care trends. We acquired a company to leverage its non-wearable breathing detection using infrared-enabled HD camera and app. Afterwards, we coordinated global Alpha/Beta testing; resolved core bugs & connectivity issues with new code, minimizing tooling costs. Overall, Aura's development was effective: integrated non-wearable tech, balanced design, refined via testing, & launched successfully.

"We’ve been using it for a few weeks now and have been really impressed. The video quality, app interface and functionality are all better than the Miku. I love that you get notifications when baby falls asleep/wakes and that there is an alarm if breathing is not detected. My only complaint is I wish you could see the temperature of the room, but this isn’t a huge deal. I also wish you could see how long baby has been sleeping, but hopefully that will come with future updates. Overall, really like this monitor!"
